Cool Kids Speak French - Book 1 has been written for children aged 7 - 11 by a qualified and experienced foreign languages teacher. This book may however also interest older children as it is filled full of fun activity sheets, great word searches and lovely colouring pages. The topics of Greetings & Introductions, Numbers, Sport, Colours, Pet animals and Transport are all covered in this book. Each topic begins with a lovely page full of images and the French words for the topic. Progression throughout each the topics has been carefully planned as the activities practise only a few of the new words at any one time, and gradually introduce simple sentence structures. Each topic ends with a fun word search. At the back of the book there is a snakes & ladders game, a useful French - English word list and also the answer section. Learning a new foreign language at an early age can be an enjoyable and useful experience, and this book would be a great way for any child to learn French.
