10 Commandments of Common Sense

Hal Urban's latest book poses a challenge. It challenges us to break through the notion of religious barriers to embrace faith in any form. And within that faith, it asks us to honour the teachings of wisdom and character, and encourages us to put those teachings into practice. We all know the 10 Commandments. Most of us have no problem avoiding murder, theft or adultery. We don't need to recommit ourselves to following these commandments and we do continue to honour them. They're sacred. The 10 Commandments of Common Senselooks more closely at some of the Bible's other "commandments": five things we should devote ourselves to doing because they can enrich our lives and the lives of others. Many of them are far more challenging than the original ten, but they provide wise and practical advice for all of us, no matter what we believe.
