Autism Amalgam and Me - Jodi's Journey Continues This is the second book about my son Jodi and continues from where I'm Not Naughty, I'm Autistic - Jodi's Journey left off. However, the information contained within Autism Amalgam and Me is a completes tory, and doesn't have to be read in sequence to be understood and appreciated. Amalgam mercury poisoning affects many people and the problem is becoming increasingly recognised by professionals who previously dismissed the possibility as being completely unfounded. That old phrase "It's all in your head" applies to a lot of people Autism Amalgam and Me is a true story. It's my true story and deals with two subjects - autism and mercury poisoning caused by dental amalgams. This book explains why I believe my son developed autism after his MMR vaccination, and my subsequent research reveals the connection between dental work I had done whilst pregnant and childhood vaccinations containing thimerosal, (49.6% ethyl-mercury). The World Health Organisation admit there is no "safe" amount of mercury in our bodies and with increasing evidence to suggest people are being poisoned by their mercury amalgam fillings, we have to ask, "Why is this substance still allowed to be used?" I question why silver dental fillings, which contain fifty per cent mercury, (one of the most toxic substances on the planet), are routinely placed in our mouths, and include vast anecdotal evidence and professional research and opinion to back up my opinions. I also tell you about Bryan, who almost died because of the combination of amalgam mercury fillings and gold crowns in his mouth It is his story which proved the catalyst for Autism, Amalgam and Me. My family dubbed me "Sherlock Shaw" when I was investigating the contents of this book and I've detailed my findings in an informative and often humorous manner which will leave you to decide whether my theory about Jodi's autism is correct.
