This manual is a compilation of three factory manuals: (1) 250GT 'Directions for the Use and Upkeep' (Italian & English language) (2) 250GT 'Spare Parts Catalogue'(Italian) (3) 250GT/E 'Operating, Maintenance and Service Handbook' (English). Obviously, much of the information is also appropriate to other models in the 250 series, such as the 250GTL, 250SWB etc. After we published Jim Riff's '250GT Service & Maintenance Notes' in 2006, we began to search for additional documentation relating to this series of Ferraris and we were fortunate enough to acquire copies of the three factory manuals included in this compilation. In addition, we also located copies of the factory 'Laycock Overdrive Service Manual for the 250GTE/330GT', plus additional Weber and Marelli documentation appropriate to the 250 series which has since been appended to Jim's 2006 publication to produce a revised and expanded 2024 edition which is available under ISBN 9781588500601. Obviously, while there will be some cross-duplication of the information contained in this compilation and Jim Riff's manual, when used in conjunction with each other, they create the most comprehensive service, maintenance and overhaul manual available for the Ferrari 250 series of automobiles. This publication contains technical data and statistics for the majority of the 1948 to 1958 Ferrari road and race cars.
