The I Chong

Beloved stoner comedian Tommy Chong is now older, wiser and officially an ex-con. In 2003, US drug enforcement agents forced their way into his home, armed with automatic weapons. For the crime of shipping bongs, Chong was sentenced to nine months in jail. The I Chong is at once a memoir, a spiritual exploration of his time in prison and a political indictment of the eroding civil liberties in post-9/11 American society. Chong is a respected writer and director. His 1978 stoner film, Up In Smoke, is one of Warner Brothers' highest-grossing films.
