The second volume of the second edition of Rotor Systems deals with instability, identification, and control in rotor systems. Instability in rotor systems is covered in great detail, including internal damping. It covers the unbalanced identification and bearing dynamic parameter identification algorithms, sensors and exciters used in rotor systems, and related signal conditioning equipment. The error analysis is discussed at length to understand the associated measurement error.
