Once upon a time, a nice mainstream suburban congregation paid some consultants to evaluate their worship. When the experts reported on the church's "spiritual poverty," the people were insulted. But the guy who chaired the Adult Education and Spiritual Formation committee went home deeply concerned. And over the next few weeks he wrote this booklet...What follows is a series of meditations for intelligent, professional Christians who are active in their church but are missing the most important thing.
