Milking a Stone is based on actual events. Charlie grows up in California after the Great Depression. His grandfather's disinterest prompts Charlie to leave the country, with a series of dramatic experiences. As an adult, he sees injustices in 1960s America and ends up in personal conflicts with financiers. In the 1980s, he joins the wolves and hunts for profits.
