Richard Walt has never not seen ghosts. In the almost-winterless north, they're just part of the scenery. Some lean on fence posts, whilst others stand under coastal pōhutukawa trees. Quietly watching the Opua ferry drift across the harbour like they're waiting for someone who never came home.
