'My Thirty Years of Speed' is the compelling autobiography of Sir Malcolm Campbell who was the preeminent land and water speed record breaker after the First World War. He tells in his own words the fascinating story of his love of speed and his desire to beat the land speed record after serving in the Royal Flying Corps during The Great War. Knighted by King George V in 1931 for setting the record of 231.4 mph at Daytona Sands, he went on to a new land speed record in excess of 300 m.p.h at the Bonneville Salt Flats, Utah, achieved in 1935. His vehicles were all named 'Blue Bird' and he became a national hero for his bravery and determination.
