One For The One and Nine's, Please

At the age of six, Mike's parents took him to see Bob Hope and Bing Crosby in Road To Bali. He fell in love with the cinema experience and couldn't wait to go again. Now in his eighties, he's as passionate about film as ever. In this book, he takes us on a personal and amusing journey from the fifties, when cinemas were packed, up to the present day. He writes about the huge changes in film technology, the determined and sometimes bizarre methods studios used to lure audiences away from the television and his favourite movies in a wide variety of genres. This is a book that will be enjoyed by anybody with the slightest interest in film.
