Secret History of Emotion

Through a radical rereading of Aristotle, Seneca, Thomas Hobbes, Sarah Fielding, and Judith Butler, among others, Daniel Gross' "The Secret History of Emotion" reveals a persistent intellectual current that considers emotions as psychosocial phenomena.
