The Cross and the Olive Tree: Cultivating Palestinian Theology amid Gaza

Palestinian liberation theologians have wrestled with the Palestinian experience of the world through their faithful witness to the liberation that is proclaimed in the Christian Gospel. Palestinian experiences in Gaza and beyond have taken a new position in collective consciousness since October 7, 2023. How does Christian theology matter for Palestinian life today, amid an ongoing genocide that has taken a decisively brutal and public turn? This multivocal book addresses this question from different approaches. It collects the writings of multiple Palestinian theologians--women and men, from Gaza, Jerusalem, the West Bank, and in Diaspora, across the Christian experience--as they bear faithful Christian witness in their resistance of genocide and in their decolonial work for the flourishing of life that overcomes oppression.
