This book features images of all the examples of historical animal ornaments listed in The Anatomy of Germanic Art. This makes it a great companion to The Anatomy of Germanic Art, but it is also a great collection of references by itself. The book covers all the stylistic periods of Germanic Iron Age art in Scandinavia (c. 400-800 CE) in images with references to the origin of each item and where to find it now.
